Multi-culturalism on the outskirts of Amsterdam. This Painting portrays different cultural groups living together on the outskirts of the centre of Amsterdam. As one moves away from the centre of Amsterdam the urban landscape changes from old traditional housing to flattopped, concrete, new buildings. The divisions between cultures are also prevalent as one can see pockets of a particular culture living in a particular suburb.
