“there is something called “the time”; it is a little worm that goes on and on. I can’t explain it to you right now, because you are still too young, but what I mean to say is that Horation should be here soon.”
This work could be referred to as a self-portrait, a self-portrait in time. It was inspired by a quotation from “Hopscotch”. “Re-animation” deals with the phenomena of personal, inner time, which is usually unnoticeable for any outsider. This work, by making the viewer focus for a considerably long time on a single re-animated frame, makes query about the function of time in photography. It manipulates not only the time inside the picture but also the time spent to perceive it.
