"Self-portrait" is sort of an animation film. Jeong Yoon Ahn photographed herself 58 times and added these images together in a slow montage of photos to flow as a film, associated with some historic oil painting portraits through composition, lighting and face painting by herself. The video goes back and forth between a woman’s tranquil outside and outburst of neurotic inside to show the repetition of extinction and recovery of her feeling about existence in the process of life.
