An interpretation of the same-named malevich painting from 1915. The painting belongs to the Suprematism, a style which is almost entirely based on the work of its founder:
Kasimir Malevich.
I tried to go beyond this painting, showing in a subtle way the further developement and its connections with the work of the russian artist El Lissitzky. He developed under the influence of the work of malevich his geometrical “Proun” paintings, which emphasize the 3rd dimension. The work of lissitzky was highly architectural and abstract.
After that malevich’s work entered the 3rd dimension, too.
His “architectons” are imaginary buildings, 3d models of his paintings which remind of utopian skycrapers.
