wear and tear is an installation of handmade cardboard boxes, each containing a pair of dryer residue. Every time the dryer is used, I carefully recover the residue and save this in a cardboard box. It’s a growth process. I continue conserving the residue this way indefinitely.
Such a household appliance is part of a family routine and the dryer residue is the dust that wears off the clothing of my family.
The work is about visualizing a process, about wear and tear and about saving the dust as a safeguard against the inevitable decay.
