Intuitief zet Konijn met veel oplosmiddelen de verf op het doek. Van daar uit werkt hij met foto's, de fantasie of zijn omgeving naar een concreter beeld. Abstractie en figuratie vullen elkaar aan en versterken elkaar. Door continu te reageren op voorgaande handelingen blijft hij contact houden met zijn spontane manier van werken. Verschillende stijlen en technieken wisselen elkaar af. Soms pasteus, dan transparant, zwaaiend met de schildersdoeken maar ook met penseeltjes voor het gedetailleerdere werk. Verder rakelt, dept, veegt en smijt hij de olieverf, acryl, pigmenten en lak op het linnen. Onderwerpen haalt hij vooral uit de natuur, de vrouw en de stedelijke omgeving.
