Ruud Streefkerk (1948)

Ruud Streefkerk maakt sjabloonschilderijen met olieverf op papier.
Dit is een techniek die door weinig kunstenaars beoefend wordt.
hij bouwt zijn schilderijen op uit losstaande grilling gevomde kleurvlaken.
Soms doorsnijden gedeelten van cirkels of rechthoeken het vlak.
Dikwijls vormen zijn schilderijen de neerslag van indrukken die hij tijdens zijn reizen door Europa opdoet.

Scanart.
De scans maakt hij op basis van fotomateriaal dat hij tijdens reizen verzamelt.
dit materiaal bewerkt hij op de computer zodanig dat er een tegenstelling in verschijnt: ijs wort lava, dag wordt nacht. etc.
