HD Video installation The Four Riders is a video installation that deconstructs the inner mechanism of the horse’s anatomy in movement. Various details such as muscles, heartbeat and breath form a dynamic composition in image and sound. The horse has played an important role in the history of mankind and is a recurring theme in the arts. This work positions the horse in a contemporary context and introduces themes such as threat, power, elegance and the grotesque.
